This edition of Ask the Mayor is due to recent correspondence from Paul and an older question from Kent. Basically the question is “What can be done about the darn crows?”

One of the realities that is quickly impressed on a novice politician such as myself is the fact that an open and transparent government working with an informed and involved citizenry beats the heck out of any other possible alternatives. The more the public knows what the City is trying to do, and the more the City knows what the public really is concerned about, the better are our choices and the chances of making real progress. All too often aggravations on both sides arise from a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of intentions. It doesn’t have to be that way.
In an effort to try to expand communication options we are going to experiment with a new segment on the City’s website (www.cityofouray.com) called “Ask the Mayor.”
